Were you able to activate the prepare?
Did you open up your inventory, activate the money cheat, close and reopen your inventory?

I don't know if I understood you right.
If you want to play the up to date version (1.31) on either Steam, GoG or Epic, simply select it in PLITCH.
If you play Cyberpunk 2077 on an older version ( for example 1.23) on either Steam, GoG or Epic, you also just need to select it in PLITCH.
Make sure you're selecting the correct platform (steam, GoG, Epic).
