Skills/ Expiernce Crashes game

Using Steam 1.32 game crashes when I use the expirence or skill points on both phone, hotkeys, etc. Any ideas here? I have no other issues with any cheat.

Did you make sure to select the steam version in the trainer?
Did you activate the cheats in your inventory where you can see your xp/skillpoints?
Did your game crash instantly after activating one of the cheats or only after pressing down the hotkey for like a min?

I was activating it while in the open world. So I need to activate while in the inventory. Or do I need to hit "prepare for cheats" while in inventory?

Just activate the prepare in the open world and after that open up your inventory to be able to activate the xp/skillpoints cheats.
You can also click on the "i" symbol in the trainer which pops up the cheat descriptions explaining what you have to do :x
