It is shown as N / N at the the units box to the right part of the screen.
Increments of 100 would be good.
Thanks

An example of this would be 550 / 700 or if you add to much, it could appear as 880 / 700.
The goal here would be to increase the 2nd number so you can spend more points - so if you wanted to spend 880 like in the example above - you could add 2 increments of 100 to the 700 number. This would then show as
880 / 900
Where 900 is the max you can spend and 880 is what you spent.
You also need to ensure that this 880 / 900 carries over to the battle deployment.
Not sure if it would be easier to enable the cheat at that screen?
The game allows you to proceed onto the battlefield with an excess of spent points like 880 / 700 but you need to put some into reserve and get back to 700 or less before you can deploy.

Yes - it is different. That is for how many units you can have in your army. The value for this item is the number of points you can spend on units to the left to add to the army on the right that you can take into battle.

Clarification on my words above "That is for how many units you can have in your army" (That is for the "unit cap" that you mentioned)
I am referring to points that you can "spend". If you select a unit to the left, it should have a point cost. You can also select higher end equipment for units you have in your army already (if you had previously spent the HQ tokens in the appropriate screen previously).
