Ok so i asked before i really looked and it does give the option for Uplay+. this thread can be deleted.

Did you spend some ability points before and after activating the cheat?
Are you playing via Steam or Uplay and did you select the right verison in the trainer (Steam/Uplay/Uplay+)?
