Cheats activate, but don't stick. Others seem to work fine.
Hey, hello, howdy. So, I finally reinstalled the game, booted it up with Plitch, and began following the instructions with the character creation cheats... yet they don't seem to work. At least, they try to work, as when I "activate" them, I hear the clunk sound signaling it activating, but when I try to use them... nothing changes. I've tried using both the button map, and just clicking it to activate. I see them activate for a split second, before deactivating. The non-character creation menu work fine, they stay on when supposed to, it's just these three. I'm pretty sure they are supposed to stay on, but what do I know, I don't make the cheat manager. So, halp?

please try to run both PLITCH and Steam as an adminsitrator.
The cheats with a hexagon symbol are only active for a very short time and are then deactivated again. They light up green briefly and then turn gray again. Cheats with an arrow symbol, such as preparation, always remain active until you deactivate them manually. This means that if the cheat lights up green briefly and the tone sounds, it has been activated. If you then spend a stat point again, the value should also change.

I've made sure both apps run in administrator mode automatically, but when I try to use the hexagon cheats, they only seem to work sometimes. One minute they flash, thunk, and activate, but nothing changes. Or, they don't activate at all.

With these cheats, it is often necessary for the game to load the required routine in the code first. This means that if you first earn some money in the game and then use the cheat, the game has already been able to load the routine and the value can be changed. If you then earn some more money in the game after you have activated the cheat, the game updates the value for the money and then the increased amount due to the cheat should also be taken into account

Thanks for the tip, but I'm primarily still talking about the character creation cheats. No matter what order I try doing things, and then activating them, they never seem to register. Boot up the game, go to character creation, then initiate/activate cheats? Nothing. Start the game through Plitch first, have everything set up and ready before going to character creation/activating cheats? Still nothing. I hate to seem like an idiot, but I don't know what's wrong or what I'm doing wrong.
