Sailors, rigging, gunpowder magasines, are independent of hull and all can be damaged.
Is no use if a ship sinks at "full health" or at 0 health.
Helps but is not making impossible things possible.

I noticed these issues as well. Tried to ram a ship and my ship caught on fire. Tried to board a ship and my boarding crew kept getting picked off, one by one.
